Sumerian Pictures has released the official trailer for The Incomer, the acclaimed dark comedy-drama set to hit theaters on September 25, 2026. Written and directed by Louis Paxton, the film has already garnered critical praise, currently holding a 92% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

The film, which took home the Next Innovator Award at the 2026 Sundance Film Festival, is described as a modern folk fairy tale set on a remote Scottish island. The narrative follows two siblings who survive by hunting seabirds, preserving the oral histories of their ancestors, and fiercely defending their home against outside "Incomers." Their isolated existence is disrupted by the arrival of an awkward council worker tasked by the government with relocating them from their ancestral homeland.

The production features an ensemble cast of established talent, including Domhnall Gleeson, Gayle Rankin, Grant O'Rourke, Emun Elliott, Michelle Gomez, and John Hannah.

Blending elements of comedy, drama, and fantasy, the film has a run time of 102 minutes and is rated R. Audiences can experience the award-winning feature when it debuts in theaters late this September.
