The release of My Fault: London has brought a new energy to the street racing genre, but the rapport between the film’s leads, Asha Banks and Matthew Broome, suggests that the chemistry on screen is built on a genuine professional connection. Sitting down with The Scene Drift, the pair discussed the technical and creative process behind bringing this high octane world to life.

Street racing serves as the narrative engine of the film, and the cast’s personal involvement with cars became a focal point of production. When discussing who among the ensemble would excel in a real life race, Asha identified their co star Kerim as the most capable driver. "Kerim was the driver of the group," she noted, recalling their time filming in Tenerife where he hired a car and drove the cast around the island. However, the broader cast consensus pointed toward Matthew Broome as the most likely to win a competitive race, a title he met with a degree of disbelief, asking, "Me?".

The technical demands of the roles extended into the stylistic choices for their characters. In a discussion regarding automotive identities, the actors reflected on which vehicles best represented their personal leanings. When asked what car she would be in general, Asha chose a specific aesthetic: "I think I’d probably be... like a Beetle. Like an orange Beetle". Matthew, meanwhile, aimed for prestige, stating he would be "like a Rolls Royce". This prompted a rebuttal from Asha, who jokingly suggested his true spirit car was a "Corsa... cheap insurance".

Music also plays a critical role in the film's atmosphere and character development. Matthew noted that his "walk on song" would be "Lily Was Here" by Candy Dulfer & David A. Stewart. Asha identified with the music of Lizzie McAlpine, but specifically highlighted her own vocal contributions to the film. Discussing the musical talent she brought to the project, she encouraged the audience to stay through the credits to catch the performance, noting, "if you watch the whole film... stay for the credits".

As the interview concluded ahead of the evening premiere, the leads reflected on the significance of the project. With Matthew’s leading performance and Asha’s multifaceted acting and musical contributions anchoring the film, the production marks a significant entry for the franchise.
