Abigail - A Bloody Game Of Hide and Seek

Abigail is an explosive and blood-rich return from directing duo Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett after Scream VI, that will hook you at every second.

It has incredibly written characters, as well as both scary and comedic moments that compliment each other perfectly. The characters are memorable and the performances were spectacular, most notably from Melissa Barrera, who shows that with any given material she can deliver exceptionally.

Alicia Weir provides a sinister performance as Abigail, showcasing how she can be an 11 year old sweetheart to mask her devilish desires.

Another standout performance was from Kevin Durand who is the main driving force of comedy for this movie. He steals so much of this film with his presence both physically and with his humour.

The Cinematography was stunning with the camera lens being constantly smeared with blood and exploding heads.

This is definitely one of the best horrors of recent times and highlights how comedy can be incorporated well within the genre.

Overall Rating: 8/10 - A Must Watch!
